Opera House – Busan

International competition for the new Busan Opera House.
The project included the development of the building considering all functions related to theatre and cultural activities related to music. The concept is inspired by the name of the place in which we refer to “rocky islands” that, washed by the sea and immersed in the fog, appear and disappear alternately. From this comes the idea of monolithic buildings linked together by a very sinuous and light covering element. At the same time this pattern of covers refers to the figures that are created thanks to the particular clothes in the traditional Korean dance.
