Urban regeneration in the City of Treviso. Design of a new Urban Park located at the Former Salsa Barracks. H&A Associati has developed an urban regeneration project involving the creation of a new large green space within an unused area and a series of buildings once dedicated to the now decommissioned Salsa Barracks.
The Municipality of Treviso has acquired the area and converted it thanks to PNRR funds into a future urban park, with paths and with a use of the green space for leisure and as an opportunity for social gathering.
In the building facing the street, on Brigata Marche Street, the project includes a reuse of the existing volume that is the subject of an upcoming H&A Associates project called Start-up.
The example of the redevelopment of an area that had been disused for many years was a design opportunity that the firm approached with the utmost interest in the intervention, seeking to give maximum quality to the open spaces and related volumes, for use not only by citizens but also by possible visitors and tourists increasingly present in the city.
