Heritage Tower Agrimont – Marghera – Venice

Recovery of the 52 m high cooling tower in the former Agrimont area of Marghera – Venice.
The project of H&A Associati has allowed the reuse of an excellent artifact of the Italian engineering school of the 50s. This incredible architectural object was originally calculated for its industrial function and the client, Gianni Sottana president CMD, owner of the property has identified in it the possibility to host a museum, a conference room and a ristornate/ events room at the top.
The intervention has fully respected the shape and the base of the Tower, creating an internal concrete barrel with spiral staircase and a lift that lead to the summit disk and a 360 degree view over the Venice Lagoon and the Port of Marghera.
Currently the Heritage Tower is used for conferences, exhibitions and cultural initiatives and is one of the most successful examples of re-use of the industrial heritage of Porto Marghera Venice.
