Masterplan for a new city on the water of 465 hectares.

The project developed by the studio in collaboration with arch. Roberto D’Agostino interpreted the presence of water as an essential element in urban design.
The prediction of the burial of the original salt mines has led to an urban design that closely combines the navigable routes to the rest of the territory. The main backbone of the central canal splits into secondary channels creating a hierarchy of spaces and volumes respectful of the tradition of cities on the water.

H&A has designed the new urban sector according to the rules of the smart city: the study of the system of green and public areas with slow mobility cyclopedonal, residential areas immersed in greenery, compositional rules for a diffuse city, have resulted in a carbon-free, dynamic, human-sized city with a high quality of life.
